Happy to share that I have passed the CARTE (Certified by Altered Security Red Team Expert for Azure) exam from Altered Security.

Across four kill chains, the course covers attacking and defending in a real, secure Azure environment - chaining initial access, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and persistence into complete attack paths.

Thanks to the Altered Security team for the quality of the materials.

Passed the CRTE (Certified Red Team Expert) exam from Altered Security. It has good quality course material with a challenging yet fun exam.

Will recommend to anyone who would like to learn more in-depth in attacking & moving in multi-forest Enterprise AD environment. Especially they give you access to Microsoft XDR in lab so you'll know what your attacks look like from the defender's perspective and how "noisy" you are.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Abdullah Alrashidi

Student of CESP-ADCS

Officially earned the CESP-ADCS(Certified Enterprise Security Professional - ADCS) certification from Altered Security.

The course was a deep dive into ADCS, covering different attack techniques, misconfigurations, and how they can be abused in real world environments.

Thank you Nikhil Mittal, for the great course and the knowledge shared throughout it.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Masoud Hamada

I’ve passed the AlteredSecurity Certified Penetration Tester (ACPT) exam by Altered Security.

A big thank you as well to Altered Security for putting together the bootcamp, labs, and exam. The material was clearly built with a lot of effort and helped fill several gaps in my methodology, particularly around network pivoting, NTLM relaying, credential access, ADCS attack paths, and working through segmented enterprise environments.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Sidy D.

Student of CRTE, Cyber Security Specialist

During a recent engagement, I ran into exactly the kind of hardened, defended environment the new CRTE is built around. Because Altered Security keeps the course up to date with current TTPs and defense bypasses, I was able to apply what I’d learned directly against a live target. The techniques carried over cleanly, and the mission ended up being a clear success.

Thanks to Altered Security for providing good learning resources and labs.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Jean ROY

Student of CARTE

I have finally obtained the CARTE certification from Altered Security at the end of its "unreasonable" 48-hour exam...

Beyond the certification itself, its preparation was an excellent opportunity to deepen the security mechanisms of the Microsoft Cloud, the Oauth 2.0 and SAML standards, the elevation of privilege paths and the current techniques used by attackers in modern and protected Cloud environments.

A big thank you to the Altered Security team for the quality of the content and the practical labs offered throughout the 120 hours of training!

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Nikita Parmar

Student of CARTP

I’ve cleared the CARTP certification from Altered Security.

I initially expected Azure security to be similar to traditional internal assessments, but CARTP genuinely changed the way I look at identity, permissions and attack paths in cloud environments.

The labs really push you to think beyond running tools and focus more on understanding the environment properly.

Thanks to the team at Altered Security and Nikhil Mittal for the great course and labs.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Vishal Jadhav

Student of CRTP

Excited to share that I've passed the Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP) exam from Altered Security!

The exam itself is a grind in the best way, you're dropped into a live, multi-domain AD environment and have to work your way to full compromise purely through misconfigurations, weak permissions, and design flaws in AD itself.

Special thanks to Nikhil Mittal for the excellent course and invaluable guidance on Attacking and defending Active Directory.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Jameel Abdalla

Student of CETP, Penetration Tester

One byte. That's all it takes to strip LSASS of its Protected Process Light shield and dump every credential on the machine.

That's one of the things I learned hands-on while completing the Certified Evasion Techniques Professional (CETP) exam by Altered Security.

You don't just learn techniques, you learn why they work at the kernel level. PPL bypass, driver manipulation, credential extraction, all while staying undetected .

It completely changed how I think about endpoint defenses. Most protections live in user space. The moment you're in the kernel, the rules change entirely.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Vishal Rayan

Student of CARTP, Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Excited to share that I’ve successfully passed the CARTP (Certified Azure Red Team Professional) certification from Altered Security.

What I appreciated most about CARTP is that it goes beyond theory. It requires a deep understanding of Entra ID attack techniques, privilege escalation paths, and real-world cloud attack scenarios.

Big credit to Altered Security for designing an exam that truly tests practical red team skills in Azure environments.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Trisna Q.

Student of CETP, Cyber Security Consultant

I have obtained the Certified Evasion Techniques Professional (CETP) certification from Altered Security!

Highly recommended for anyone diving deeper into red teaming

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Huzair Khan

Student of CRTP, Penetration Tester

Just wrapped up my CRTP (Certified Red Team Professional) certification from Altered Security. After 17+ hours of endless enumeration, late-night troubleshooting, Kerberos tickets flying around, and plenty of “why isn’t this working?” moments, the journey was all about breaking, fixing, learning, and repeating. A truly hands-on, real, and challenging experience. Brutal but worth it.

Thank you, Altered Security, for designing such a practical certification. The exam genuinely reflects real-world Active Directory attack scenarios and pushes you to think like a true red teamer.

Abutalib Zarban.jpg

Mohamad Ameen A.

Student of CRTM, Cyber Security Pentester

Happy to have passed the CRTM certification
The training was very hands-on with realistic labs focused on advanced Active Directory attack techniques which reflected few innovative paths, i especially enjoyed working through the practical scenarios and learning how different attack paths can be chained together in real environments.

The exam was smooth and well-organized. It would be great to include more of the innovative paths from the practice labs. Overall, it was a valuable and practical learning experience

Overall, I found the course to be very comprehensive and satisfying. Although I had some knowledge of Microsoft Azure, the course surprised me with several new insights....The content of the course is very complete and covers a lot of commonly used Azure services and how they can be exploited. The theoretical explanations are backed up with hands-on demonstrations that show how the attacks are executed....Pursuing the CARTP certification may be a valuable credential for individuals looking to specialize in Azure cloud security, as it can help demonstrate their proficiency in red teaming and enhance their competitiveness in the job market.

I 100% recommend this certification! I had a fun experience and found myself laughing and smiling while doing it. I am excited to deploy what I have learned on future projects and cannot wait to get started. I recommend this to everyone interested in abusing Active Directory.

Altered Security's CRTP certification opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me in cybersecurity. The hands-on labs and exam experience felt like stepping into the trenches of real-world scenarios, arming me with practical skills and insights that I couldn't have gained elsewhere. If you're serious about taking your cybersecurity career to the next level, CRTP is the way to go.
